Extract of an article from the St. Louis Republican. "A circular, addressed to the whole 'Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints,' informs us that on Sunday, the 5th of October, about five thousand Saints had the inexpressible joy and great gratification to meet, for the first time, in the house of the Lord .... On the 6th, 7th, and 8th meetings of the General Conference were held; at which, finally, it was resolved unanimously, that this people move en masse to the West ..."
