Artist's Statement

           The sound of a river meandering across fields, the sound of leaves caressed by the wind, and a flood of light streaming across the paper; that sums up Toomalatai's paintings. Luxuriant greens are pierced by the sun's yellow and golden light, which also brushes over the blue reflections of the rivers. Everything is peaceful and calm. Nature sleeps. Hush!
